The Kevin Pascual Legacy Scholarship will annually honor the memory and legacy of Kevin Pascual by supporting one student-athlete from his former middle school, HBGS, in covering high school-related expenses.
Inspired by Kevin's values of perseverance, teamwork, and community impact, the scholarship empowers a young athlete each year to pursue their academic and athletic dreams while making a positive difference in their community.
About Kevin
Kevin Pascual was a former student whose life was shaped by his passion for basketball, his dedication to his community, and his relentless drive to succeed. Kevin's basketball journey began at The Highbridge Green School, where he developed his skills and love for the game. He continued to grow as both an athlete and a person at South Bronx Community Charter School, proudly wearing the number 35.
For Kevin, basketball was more than just a sport—it was a way to build connections, support his teammates, and serve his community. Tragically, Kevin's life was cut short on August 30, 2020, when he collapsed and passed away doing what he loved most—playing basketball with passion and dedication.
Though Kevin is no longer with us, his spirit and legacy continue to inspire those who knew him. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and community, and his impact lives on in the memories of those who carry his legacy forward.

His Legacy Scholarship
This year, we will begin granting an annual $1,000 scholarship to an 8th grader at
The Highbridge Green School who embodies Kevin's passion, dedication, and commitment both on and off the court. This scholarship will assist recipients in their academic and athletic pursuits.
In the upcoming years, we aim to expand this program to The South Bronx Community Charter, Kevin's high school, ensuring the legacy of Kevin Pascual continues to inspire and support future generations of student-athletes.
